Open your bible to our text today, taken from 2 Corinthians 4:3-4 and Philippians 4:6 and 2 Corinthians 10: 3-6. 3 But even if our gospel is veiled/hidden, it is veiled/hidden to those who are perishing, 4 whose minds the god of this age has blinded, who do not believe, lest the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine on them. Philippians 4:6 Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; 7 and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard/protect/shield your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. 2 Corinthians 10: 3-6 – For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh. 4 For the weapons of our warfare are not ]carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, 5 casting down arguments/imaginations and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ, 6 and being ready to punish all disobedience when your obedience is fulfilled. – Today, I am going to speak to you of having victory over the struggles and battles of the mind. Overcoming the battle or struggle of the mind. Do you know where the battlefield is? Not on the streets or foreign countries, the battlefield of your daily life is your mind. The bible says one’s household is his enemy. Your mind is part of your household – isn’t it? The area the devil works on you is in your mind. Many people don’t know that, so they lose the battle before they begin their day and lose the war before it starts. One of the ways that the devil uses to get to you is through your mind. That is the devil’s battleground, his stronghold. The bible describes the devil as the “god of this world that has blinded the minds of people.” The word of God in your mind and in your heart is the devil’s target. The bible says he comes immediately to snatch the word of God from you because you didn’t meditate on it and store it in your heart.
