Death is a fact of life. Since God’s children have flesh and blood, Christ became flesh and blood so that by His death, He might break the power of him who holds the power of death—that is, the devil— 15 and free those who all their lives were held in slavery by their fear of death. Christ’s death and resurrection broke the power and fear of death. He promises us forgiveness, strength in our daily lives, peace and joy, and eternal life to live with Him forever.

Jesus had a friend named Lazarus who became sick and died. When Jesus heard about this, He returned to Judea because He loved Mary and Martha (Lazarus’s sisters). When He arrived, he found Lazarus buried in a Tomb. Martha greeted Him and told him, “If You Had Been Here My Brother Would Not Have Died.”

John 11:23-27

23 Jesus said to her, “Your brother will rise again.”

24 Martha answered, “I know he will rise again in the resurrection on the last day.”

25 Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die; 26 and whoever lives by believing in me will never die. Do you believe this?”

27 “Yes, Lord,” she replied, “I believe that you are the Messiah, the Son of God, who is to come into the world.”

Jesus then proceeded to the tomb and told Lazarus to come out. And he arose from the dead and walked out still wrapped in the grave clothes.

Jesus’s death, on the course, broke the power of death and opened the way for all of us to live forever in paradise.

You must repent of your sins and say to God that you are sorry for your sins,  believe in your heart that God has forgiven you, thank God for forgiving you your sins, say or confess with your mouth that you believe in your heart that Jesus died for your sins on the cross, God raised Him from the dead.
